The First Taiwan International Children¡¦s TV & Film Festival is held by Government Information Service R.O.C., Fubon culture & Educational Foundation, and Public Television Service from January 9 to 13, 2004.

Our objectives are to honor the production of outstanding television programs and films for children, and to encourage creative, interesting works that broaden the vision of children and provide them a diverse cultural perspective.
 
  1. 1. All television programs and films for children produced in 2002 or 2003 are eligible for application.
  2. All entries submitted to the Festival must be suitable for children ages 12 and under.
 
  1. Applications must be submitted by August 31, 2003 (validated by post mark).
  2. The Festival requires no entry fee, for the first three works submitted. An unlimited number of works may be submitted, but a processing fee of US$30 per work is required for each work over and beyond the first three. ¡]The Title of the check is ¡§ Public Television Service Foundation¡¨¡^ƒÜ
1. Entry Form with signature
2. A video cassette of the entry, in VHS format (either PAL or NTSC)
3. Each work must be subtitled in English or dubbed in English
4. A synopsis of the work
5. Director¡¦s statement regarding the work
6. Director¡¦s biography, filmography and photo
7. Full credits list of cast and personnel
8. Three different stills from the film

The organizers are unable to return any application material or preview tapes. The organizers will notify nominees, who will be required to mail an English-language or original language version of the script, along with a master copy of the work for screening at the Festival. Those applicants that are unable to provide both a script and master copy will be disqualified as nominees.
  Those programs and films nominated to participate in the Festival will be announced on October 21, 2003. Results will be posted on the Festival web site http://www.tictff.org.tw
  Directors or producers whose films have been nominated will be invited to attend the Festival. The Festival will subsidize accommodation and travel expenses by US$600-US$1200, depending on the participant¡¦s geographical area of origin.
